Response to the Queen's speech

“We welcome the plans for an Immigration Bill which was set out in the Queen’s Speech today. We look forward to working collaboratively with the Government to create an immigration policy that is tough, clear and free from abuse.  We support further moves to guarantee that students do not overstay in the UK. But we need a regime that will maintain the UK’s ability to develop its international education sector, which already brings £26 Billion to the UK each year, provides employment for over 200,000 people all over the regions and supports our own domestic students in innumerable ways.”
