Response to Lord Heseltine's comments

“It was good to hear that following the election result, Lord Heseltine said the first thing the government needs to do is remove international students from the net migration target. It is great to see Conservative grandees, such as Lord Heseltine, show even more political support for international students. We hope that Theresa May will listen to these calls and do what many have long been urging her to do and remove international students from the net migration target.”

Lord Heseltine's original comments: "How do you deal with the three issues? The first is that you take the student numbers out of the immigration figures; we need the students, they are great for our academia and they come and they go."
